Bastian Balthazar Bux & AURYN from the Neverending Story

I remember watching the movie when I was a young child. It was epic and magical, but when I revisit it as an adult I realize just how deep and meaningful the full story really is, beyond just the movie. I really cannot wait to get my hands on a copy of the novel!

I never realized how dark the concept behind the book was as a kid. It's more than simply battling evil, but also dealing with the pains of reality and discovering one's self.

Bastian is the first protagonist of the Neverending story. As AURYN was bestowed upon him by the empress, giving him the power to make any wish he wanted, it almost destroyed who he was, thus recreating him rather than he recreating Fantasia. I wanted to show that AURYN was slowly becoming a part of Bastian, taking over.
